ClearFlow is a tube-connected respiratory mask developed during the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic to support easier breathing for factory workers engaged in physical labour. Clean air is drawn in through an external air pump fitted with a filter, ensuring safe air regardless of the surrounding factory environment, while exhaled breath is actively drawn back out through a connected tube. This powered exhalation is essential: relying on the wearer's own effort to expel air would allow internal moisture to build up inside the mask, so the system actively clears each breath to keep the interior dry and comfortable. The mask body is made of transparent silicone, keeping the wearer's mouth visible so that colleagues can communicate clearly on the factory floor. The result is a mask that eases the physical burden of breathing during demanding work while preserving the face-to-face connection that ordinary masks take away.
